SCUKO currently runs a host of activities and events for the benefit of its member clubs, instructors and students.

FREE Kyu Gradings
Each member club will organize Kyu Gradings with a registered SCUKO examiner. On passing a Kyu grading examination a student will automatically receive an official SCUKO certificate plus the appropriate belt.

Dan Gradings
Dan gradings are held quarterly following Black and Brown Belt Courses. On passing a Dan grading examination a student will automatically receive a Diploma. They will also receive a Black Belt on passing of Shodan (1st Dan) examination.

FREE Black and Brown Belt Courses
These are one-day courses comprising of two one and a half hour sessions. They have a particular focus on the syllabus, ensuring standards for higher level gradings are being understood and met. The courses are pre-requisites for gradings from 2nd Kyu onwards and are held quarterly in February, May, August and November.

Annual Winter Course
This is a one-day open course comprising three hours training over two sessions.  It is held annually in January in the Midlands.  The course is with a high ranking guest instructor.  The course is not a prerequisite for any grading.  It only exists to broaden the skills and knowledge of students. 

Annual Summer Camp
This is a 3 day open course comprising seven hours training over three sessions.  It is held annually in July in Devon.  The camp features high rank instructors from the organisation and possibly high level instructors from other Karate organisations and/or other Martial Arts.  The camp is not a prerequisite for any grading.  It only exists to broaden the skills and knowledge of students.  Other fun activities will also be available during the weekend.

FREE Instructor Training Seminars
These are special three hour courses held twice a year in April and October in the Midlands.  They are open to all Black Belts of 18 Years and above who have ambitions to teach or who are already qualified instructors.  Instructor Seminars are prerequisites for gaining Instructor status.

SCUKO Senior League Championship
This is our Championship programme to determine the annual Senior Men’s and Women’s Champions.  Three events are held on Sundays in March, June and September with points at each event being gained to create a League championship.  Kata, Kumite and Grand Champion trophies will be awarded at Year end.  A maximum of 16 Male and 16 Female contestants compete in both Kumite and Kata.  The events are short, focussed and finish within 3 hours (11am-2pm).  They are held in the Midlands area. SCUKO enter a team into selected Open Championships during the Year. The men’s and women’s teams will be selected on a rolling 12 months point’s position from the Senior League Championship.

SCUKO Club Champions Cup
This is our Year end Championship to determine the SCUKO Annual Club Champions.  Club Teams of Ten, including Men, Women and Children will compete in Kata and Kumite against each other to gain points.  The Club with the highest points will be the Club Champions of the Year.

FREE Squad Training
These are available for Brown and Black belts selected by their Club Instructor. They are held by FEKO. There is both junior and senior sessions where there is the opportunity to develop competition skills. There is the opportunity through regular squad training to be selected to compete in the National and International Championships. In addition member clubs often offer club squad training sessions.

FREE Referee and Judges Training
These are available for Black belts over the age of 21 selected by their Club Instructor. They are held by FEKO. Qualifications are for National Referee, National Judge, FEKO Association recognised Referee and FEKO Association recognised Judge. There is a small charge for the examination and the rule book.
