Our mission is to provide an infrastructure that will fully support its member clubs in achieving their objectives and improving their standards; and it students to achieve their true potential through the diligent study of Traditional Shotokan Karate-Do, whilst fostering friendly relationships.

In order to achieve this mission, SCUKO will:

Constantly study and broaden knowledge and skills of Karate-Do and promote this.
Run a instructor training programme to develop quality instructors from SCUKO.
Develop a full support program for member clubs to ensure that all objectives are met.
Establish rules governing technical skills.
Establish a grading syllabus for all examiners to adhere to.
Hold courses and seminars to develop knowledge and skills of students.
Hold events for competitors and select members to represent the SCUKO competition team.
Issue and control documentation concerning our association.
All other things incidental or conducive to the attainment of the aims of the SCUKO.
